     Designed as a summer cottage on Lake Michigan, this home was built into a small cedar and maple covered bluff.  It was carefully constructed among the trees and peeks over the edge of the bluff for a spectacular view and is extremely private.  One might walk the beach and not even know a cottage was in view.                                                                                                                                                                                     The cottage features fun contemporary lines with a touch of old cottage and Leelanau County barn.  The Douglas fir floors, doors, windows and trim, Cedar ceilings and paneling all add to the uniqueness of the interior details.  Other exclusive details in the cottage include; a personal studio used by the owner for painting, an elevated Cedar deck with “toaster oven cable” railings, sail awnings, screened in porch, private balconies, privacy screens and a native fieldstone fireplace with artistic Bluestone accents which all add to the exceptional charm of this home.
