This cottage was designed as a summer residence to complement the turn of the century charm of the main lodge that was built on the property in the early 1900’s. This, like the main lodge has the layout centered on the massive stone fireplace with the bedrooms privately winged off the central core. Possessing both refinement and that relaxed north country feeling, this was accomplished by the use of heavy timbers, knotty pine trim and oak flooring all milled from trees cleared for the footprint of the cottage.
This residence was featured in the spring, 1997 issue of Professional Builder Magazine. The architect, AAI, designed a cottage that flows together smoothly from room to room and also created a perfect design for the site in relationship to the size and layout of the property.
